COVID-19 VACCINATION CAMPAIGN IN LOERIESFONTEIN ON HERITAGE DAY |
September 2021.
The Department of Health will be hosting a Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign on Friday 24 September 2021, coinciding with Heritage Day. The event will be hosted at the Loeriesfontein Community Health Centre, also known as the Loeriesfontein Hospital, from 09:00 in the morning and is being supported by Loeriesfontein Wind Farm and Khobab Wind Farm.
To encourage participation, transportation is being provided for community members to the venue, generously sponsored by Gaffy Trading. This will be available from two pick-up points, including the Loeriesfontein Sports Field and Loeriesfontein Clinic.
A soup and bread station will be set up at the venue, with soup ingredients and bread supplied by the wind farms. This is in addition to food parcels for the Department of Health staff involved in this initiative, who will be travelling from across the Hantam and Karoo Highlands Municipal areas to facilitate the vaccination drive.
Covid-19 Vaccinations are open to all persons, 18 years and older, and a valid identity document (ID)/birth certificate is required.
“We are pleased to support the Department of Health’s vaccination campaign, as part of our community development initiative and community health awareness programme,” said Vanessa Fredericks, Economic Development Manager for Loeriesfontein Wind Farm and Khobab Wind Farm.
